I would first like to introduce the Disney character, Rapunzel!
Get to Know My Character
Name: Rapunzel
Age: 18
Appearance: She has extremely long, golden blonde, magical hair. Fair skin with bright green eyes. She often wears a purple dress.
Personality: Playful, curious, adventurous, and a little bit naive.
Hobbies: Painting, sewing, cooking, pottery, singing and dancing, basically anything and everything that could keep her entertained.
Dreams and Life Goals: To see the Lanterns in person and to leave the tower.
Obsessions: Lanterns.
Pets and Friends: Flynn Ryder, Pascal (chameleon), friends from The Snuggly Duckling, Maximus, and many more.
Location: Kingdom of Corona. Lives in a hidden tower until she reaches the age of 18.
Family and Relationships: Mother Gothel (her fake mother who kidnapped her), Flynn Ryder (lover), Pascal (her close companion), and in the end her parents (the King and Queen).
Conflicts or Turning Points
Internal Conflicts: Constantly overthinking, thinking her “mother” will be mad or upset with her for leaving the tower, she is worried she will break her “mother’s” heart
External Conflicts: Her “mother” tries to prevent her from reaching the Kingdom
Character’s Story Summary
As a young child, Rapunzel was kidnapped from the Royal Family by Mother Gothel. Rapunzel’s hair contained magical healing powers, hence why Mother Gothel wanted to Rapunzel for herself. Mother Gothel kept Rapunzel far away in a tower where no one could ever find her. Rapunzel has always dreamed of seeing the floating lanterns in person and on her birthday. While Mother Gothel was on a trip, Flynn Ryder was running away from castle guards and climbed into Rapunzel’s tower. Rapunzel knocked Flynn out using her frying pan. She devised a plan to make Flynn take her to see the floating lanterns. After awhile of convincing Flynn, he caved in and agreed. On their trip they stopped at The Snuggly Duckling where they broke out into a song about their dreams and goals for life. The characters at The Snuggly Duckling took care of Rapunzel and become friends with her and Flynn, by association. When Flynn and Rapunzel finally reached the Kingdom of Corona, they went around the town exploring each part of it since it was all so new to Rapunzel. Rapunzel learned that the lanterns were sent off every year on the birthday of The Lost Princess of The Kingdom of Corona. Shocking considering that was the same day Rapunzel was born on. Flynn surprised Rapunzel with a boat ride to watch the lanterns on the water. After that Rapunzel was tricked into going back to the tower by her supposed mother. This was when Rapunzel realized SHE was The Lost Princess. Flynn had arrived at the tower to help and save Rapunzel but was stabbed by Mother Gothel. Before Rapunzel could use her healing powers on Flynn, he chopped her hair off. Killing the power of the hair and turning Mother Gothel into dust. As Rapunzel cried holding onto the dead body of Flynn and golden flower glowed out from him. The same flower that originally held the magic that was in her hair. Unfortunately, Flynn did not come back. In the end Rapunzel returned to her real family, The Royal Family.

So I decided to call my Mother to let her know that I have left the tower. She is going to be so very mad with me. But it is better that I let her know I am doing well and that I am safe. After all I have not run into anyone or anything dangerous. Quite honestly everyone is very nice to me and I have all the help I need from my friend Flynn Ryder and now my friends at The Snuggly Duckling!

Rapunzel meets Flynn Ryder. Flynn had climbed up into the tower where Rapunzel had been living for years. Out of fright, Rapunzel knocks Flynn out using her trusty frying pan.
Flynn takes Rapunzel to The Snuggly Duckling. The characters the meet during this scene break out into song about their dreams and goals in life. They become great friends and help them numerous times later on.
Rapunzel and Flynn finally made it to the Lantern Festival. Rapunzel is overjoyed with her dream finally coming true.
Flynn cuts Rapunzel’s magical hair that contains healing powers after he had been attacked by Mother Gothel who pretended to be Rapunzel’s real mother.
After the death of her loved one, Flynn Ryder, Rapunzel goes back to the Kingdom of Corona and meets her true parents for the first time.
